Have you ever heard of IEMT and wondered what those letters stood for? Integral Eye Movement Therapy was developed by Andrew T. Austin, based on the work from Steve and Connirae Andreas' model of Eye Movement Integration, and his own extensive observations. It has now been taught in many different countries including Poland, India, Sweden and the USA.
In this video, Matt Kendall interviews Andrew T. Austin, who gives insight into how he came up with the method, how it is different from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and how it is being implemented.
/IEMT is not the grand unified theory of therapy and change work and is still a developing model, but has been proven to be a very useful adjunctive for the trained therapists and when used in the right hands can provide excellent remedial tool for emotional change and a generative tool for identity change. Practitoner are reporting that IEMT enables excellent results where previously a good outcome might have appeared improbable.
